ezBike is an electric vehicle startup on a mission to revolutionise urban mobility in Pakistan by replacing the country’s 22 million petrol-powered motorcycles with clean, cost-effective electric scooters. Through a unique battery swapping model and proprietary conversion technology, the company is making EV adoption affordable and accessible across key customer segments, including corporate fleets, professional riders and everyday commuters.
“ezBike is Pakistan’s premier electric mobility solutions company,” says co-founder Ali Moin Malik. “We take conventional petrol engine motorcycles and convert them into electric bikes. Using our proprietary conversion technology, we offer batteries as a service.”
The startup’s innovative approach eliminates range anxiety for users. “Our consumers can ride their bikes without worrying about range. They can go everywhere,” Malik explains. “At our swapping stations across Islamabad and Rawalpindi, they can swap their batteries within minutes.”

“Our customers, on average, save 40% just on pure petrol versus electric, and on top of that, zero maintenance cost. At the end of the month, they save a significant amount of money.”
This battery-as-a-service model not only simplifies EV usage but significantly reduces costs. “The cost of ownership of a bike can be reduced by about 75%,” Malik notes. “Our customers, on average, save 40% just on pure petrol versus electric, and on top of that, zero maintenance cost. At the end of the month, they save a significant amount of money.”
ezBike serves a diverse customer base:
Corporate clients such as logistics companies and field operations teams benefit from lower operational costs and reduced emissions.
Fleet riders including delivery personnel use ezBike’s reliable and affordable electric scooters for daily professional use.
Retail customers gain access to eco-friendly and low-cost personal transportation.
The company’s growth was accelerated through PFAN/PPSE support. Malik highlights the value of the network’s global reach: “Through the PFAN network, we had access to various events, not just in Pakistan, but outside of Pakistan as well, in different countries. We felt that was personally a great opportunity for us to go, meet people from different industries and different parts of the world.”
He adds, “In the longer term, we can leverage those networks to our advantage. I think that was certainly something that was hugely effective and very, very useful.”
With its customer-centric innovations, ezBike is not only reshaping Pakistan’s mobility landscape but also contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable future.
