At PFAN we are committed to protecting your privacy. PFAN processes data in compliance with the current regulatory framework such as the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act (DSG) and the Telecommunications Act (TKG).
This Privacy Statement sets out information about the data we collect, how long it is saved and how we use the collected data from our users. Please read the following descriptions to understand our views and practices regarding your data and your rights, and how they pertain to you as you use our various site features and services.

NEWS
If you wish to receive PFAN News, you need to provide us with your email address so that we can e-mail you information about our events, news and services. You will receive an automatic email asking you for the confirmation of your email address (“Double Opt in”). In case the registration for our News is not confirmed, your provided data will be deleted. In order to continuously improve our News, we are able to evaluate your interaction with the content you receive (opening our email and clicking on links).
We are using a mailing system run by Intiut MailChimp (“the Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a Mailchimp”). Your email address and data entered will be transferred to and stored on MailChimp Servers located in the USA. MailChimp also stores the IP address of the computer where you sign up and where you last accessed the messages we sent. Unfortunately, MailChimp does not offer to turn this off or anonymize the IP like Google does.
The European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision which assumes an adequate level of protection for personal data that is transferred from the EU to the USA for companies participating in the EU – U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Intuit is listed as one of the companies in this “Data Privacy Framework List”.
Your personal data will be processed as long as you have not revoked your explicit consent for receiving PFAN communications.

EVENTS
PFAN organises events such as trainings and conferences. If you register for one of our events, we process the personal data you provide (e.g. email address, name) for being able to organise the event and enable administrative preparation (Art. 6 para. 1 lit f GDPR).
PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
Photos and videos may be taken during events organised by PFAN. Some of the photos and videos may be published on our Website www.pfan.net, in our annual reports and our social media channels.
The legal basis for processing these photos and videos data is your consent or that the processing is necessary for the purposes of PFAN’s legitimate interest in documenting the events, raising awareness for PFAN’s activities and sharing the events with a broader audience (see Art. 6 para. 1 lit a and f GDPR and § 12 para. 2 lit 2. and 4. DSG). We are aware of possible legitimate interests of persons being photographed or filmed and ensure to take care of not interfering with them.
In case you do not wish to be depicted on photo and video material in connection with a certain event you are attending, please contact us either prior or anytime during the event. You also have the right to withdraw your consent or to object to the use of your data anytime, also after photos have been already taken.
FOR HOW LONG DOES PFAN STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Your personal data is kept only as long as necessary and is reviewed and deleted as required by the applicable laws and regulations, in particular, the GDPR. If you withdraw your consent to data processing, your personal data will be deleted, unless there is another lawful reason – such as a legal obligation – to keep it further.
